Nice stroll with my 3yr old and husband. The ground is a bit uneven in someplace with bricks along the ground which are very slippery when wet. Some areas had streams running through which made it hard to walk up. Nice Park tidy and some sign posts about to help keep on track areas for toilets at the rangers office and is animal friendly.

Had a great 11km walk here! Was extremely muddy but that’s no fault other than nature itself! Clean, easy to navigate and would reccomend all weathers 👍🏼

Such a beautiful place to visit with amazing views of the surrounding area as far as the Welsh mountains. The park is great for kids and theirs a cafe too, just in case you you want to grab a coffee and other refreshments.

Tried this as a different place to walk the dog. The walks closer to the Cafe were better (on a very wet day) being more varied and interesting. The Cafe itself was basic but friendly staff helped. Family friendly as well, with play areas.

Half term and very few people around in this park. Parking is free. There is a golf course, closing in March 2023, that the council no longer wishes to fund. There is a kids’ play area and lots of well-formed paths through the park. Ashurst’s Beacon provides great views towards Liverpool and Wales and is an easy, steady climb although it is at one end of the park and across a road. This is also a great starting point for some amazing walks in the local area.

Lovely area for walking with great views. There is an outdoor park for the little ones to play (with benches for the knackered parents). Also a cafe but I didn’t go inside so can’t comment on that. Best way to access these places is at the second, smaller car park where the cafe is located (the park is next to it). Top tip for the main car park: we parked there last new year and waited for the clock to strike 12 to watch the fireworks. It was magical. Highly recommend that one.
